Meet Our Doctors & Practitioners

We’d like to introduce ourselves. Our doctors and practitioners have more than 50 years combined experience in Alternative Health Care and Nutrition. They have their own unique reason for pursuing Chiropractic and alternative health care, but their purpose is the same, to help you become as healthy and happy as you can be.

Dr. David Jantz, DC
I became interested in the Chiropractic field because I wanted to help people without having to resort to drugs or surgery. The drug approach never made sense to me even when I was younger. Chiropractic has always been a wonderful way to heal people, however after practicing for seven years in 1989 I knew there was more to learn. This is when I discovered Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA), which is a muscle testing or kinesiological testing applied to reflex or acupuncture points with applied nutrition, as taught by Dr. Dick Versandaal. Later I learned a more advanced technique called Nutrition Reponse Testing as taught by Dr. Ulan and Dr. Bryman. This opened up a whole new avenue for healing people. Patients now come from all over the country to be evaluated. We continue to achieve excellent results with a variety of health conditions. Our practice is exciting and fun because we constantly keep up with the latest technology to help solve the toughest cases! When you bring passion and achieve results a job becomes extremely rewarding. The results we achieve with our patients has far surpassed my highest expectations. My philosophy is with the chemicals, demineralized soil, drugs, vaccines, white flour, white sugar, hydrogenated oils (man-made fats such as margarine, etc.), and fast paced lifestyles, we have become an unhealthy society. Society needs Doctors who can look at the whole body and use natural methods to help the body heal itself rather than just covering up symptoms! Education is a must which is why the Doctors of the Alternative Health Care Center provide free seminars every month on alternative health care and nutrition, including allergy elimination, current events, diet, how to improve your health, etc…Yours in Good Health,
Dr. David Jantz, DC

Dr. Jennifer Shell, DC
I always wanted to help people and knew that traditional medicine wasn’t for me. I love that I can help the body heal with natural methods which allow a person to thrive and live a healthy invigorating life. I believe that we should all be excited and thankful, that there is a method of treatment which gives us the opportunity to actually be well.”

I specialize in Nutrition Response Testing, as well as a variety of Chiropractic techniques which offer a range of physical benefits for all ages, including infants! I pride myself on providing a fun, pain free environment for everyone.

My philosophy is that prevention is key, and children are the best examples of this philosophy. If a child is treated as they develop, they will grow up healthy and strong, & that’s what we are all striving for isn’t it?

I graduated from Michigan State University in 1997. Then continued my education in Lombard, Illinois where I attended Chiropractic College. I moved back to Michigan in 2001 once I obtained my Doctorate. I then gathered experience in private practice which then led me to the Alternative Health Care Center. I am excited to be a member of the Alternative Health Care Centers team, one that shares my same purpose, putting an individual on the road to recovery!!

It never made sense to me that we need to add chemicals to our bodies to become healthy.  Thankfully, my parents took me to a Chiropractor after a High School football injury.  There I learned that the body is an amazing self-regulating, self-healing machine.

I grew up in St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe.  During my time in school, I was always fascinated with science.  Upon completing my Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Michigan, I decided to use my love of science to help others.  I thought that being a Chiropractor would be an amazing choice, and it was, so I enrolled in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Logan University in St Louis, MO.

For the past two decades it has been a joy working in this community and helping people reach their optimal health goals.  My practice includes a wide range of people – from the couch potato and the weekend warrior to the professional athlete.  I am constantly updating my skills and education.  I have recently completed my Level 1 Cross-fit instructor training and I teach my patients various techniques to deal with problems at home.

Kaylee Jantz, RD
Hello, I am Kaylee Jantz I am a Registered Dietitian and attended Western Michigan University where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in science with a concentration in dietetics. In 2011 I was accepted into Beaumont Hospital’s first dietetic internship program. During that time, I focused on clinical nutrition while rotating through each unit of the hospital. I also spent time in outpatient clinics where I have counseled patients in an intimate clinical setting on topics including Diabetes, Weight Management, Prenatal and Maternal Nutrition, Cardiovascular Disease, High Cholesterol, Gastrointestinal Disorders and Kidney Disease.

I have been fortunate enough to grow up with a father (Dr. David Jantz, DC) who has been a pioneer in holistic and alternative healthcare. Because of this, my initial draw to the field of nutrition happened at a very young age. Through his work, I have seen amazing results with chronic conditions where patients have tried all other approaches, with no success.

In contrast, during my time working within a traditional medical setting I noticed 3 consistent flaws within their “treatment” approach:

1). Incorrect diagnoses due to inadequate technology and overpriced methods.

2). Treatment of the symptoms with drugs instead of focusing on the actual cause of the problem.

3). Multiple admissions for the same conditions because the first two methods don’t work!

A proper diet is essential in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease and overall well-being. The food industry makes achieving this goal difficult due to refined carbohydrates, hydrogenated oils and dangerous additives that are found in many foods, and are touted as “healthy.” My goal is to educate, empower and encourage patients to make sustainable lifestyle changes to get the most out of their nutritional program. My philosophy is simple: When you feed people real food, you get real results. It is important to remember that change does not happen overnight, but I am here to get you from where you are to where you need to be.

Yours in Good Health,

Kaylee Jantz, RD
