Childhood obesity and Type II Diabetes in children is becoming an epidemic. As a parent and a Doctor, I started to think we might be losing the battle until I realized we just need the right tools and information.
The battle for our kids’ stomachs starts with controlling the information that they get into their minds. It truly is a battle between us, as parents, and billion dollar food companies armed with cartoon characters leering from television sets and even inside their video games.
Going to the store is like entering the enemy camp – All your kids see are brightly colored boxes of fake-food with mile-long ingredient lists that read like a foreign language. Trying to navigate this chemically-enhanced food culture has plenty of parents (me included) feeling like we can’t win this fight to keep our kids healthy.
The current state of our nutrition could very well make us the first generation to raise kids whose lifetimes may be shorter than ours due to chronic health problems.
The good news is that almost all of these “killer” diseases – heart disease, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and many more – are preventable. The problem is we’ve been fed a steady stream of propaganda that says otherwise.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not big on agreeing with lousy statistics or pessimistic predictions. I believe that something can and should be done about any bad condition – especially when our families’ health is at stake.
So, I wrote a book on it.
It’s called Food to the Rescue.
In it I gathered some of the my most helpful reccomendations and personally-tested tips and tricks to help you and your kids make educated, healthy food choices. There really is no fluff, it is all stuff you can use right now.
My patients know I am pretty no-nonsense, especially when it comes to health. What I tried to do in this book was condense more than a decade of clinical experience, plus 7 years of parenting my two lovely boys, into less than 100 pages that will give you all the basics you need know to start creating better health.
I teach you how and why to avoid processed and genetically modified foods, how to use the right kind of fats, how to make sweets kids love — without diabetes-causing corn syrup or deadly sugar substitutes and lots more.
It’s time to take back control of your family’s health. It’s time for Food to the Rescue.
I want every parent to read this book. I want every kid in the world to benefit from this book.
You can call the office and order a hard copy, get it on Amazon, or go to my website at www.foodtotherescue.com.
I look forward to helping you on your journey to creating a healthy family – in-person, through my book, or just reading the information we’ll be sharing here on the Alternative Healthcare Center website.
